Support shaped around the learner
We discuss goals, availability and support needs, arrange a paid assessment where appropriate, and match the learner with a suitable tutor. Half-termly progress reports explain strengths, areas to develop and next steps. A learning plan can be put in place where additional support is needed.
For SEND support, record relevant needs on the academic registration form. Lessons may use smaller steps, visual resources, extra thinking time, a flexible pace and breaks. We may arrange a meeting with management and the tutor or request relevant school reports privately.
